NIAID Director Dr. Anthony Fauci did his first briefing under President Joe Biden's administration to address the specifics about the coronavirus pandemic and the vaccine.

When asked about the government partnering with Amazon and if that would have helped distribute the vaccine quicker during the Trump administration, Fauci confessed he didn't know.

"No, I don't think I could answer that question. I'd be waving my hands about that. Sorry. But you know, one of the new things in this administration is if you don't know the answer, don't guess," Fauci told the press, chuckling. "Just say you don't know the answer."

NBC News' Peter Alexander later asked him about President Donald Trump's administration and the former president standing behind him. Fauci said he actually wasn't joking about that and having to guess when he didn't know the answer.

The press chuckled along with him.
