MSNBC host Nicolle Wallace on Wednesday revealed what she called "unbelievable" reporting on the plans of Emil Bove, calling the news "the most stunning thing I've read since the election."
Wallace began her Wednesday show highlighting a new NBC News report detailing Bove's work on Jan. 6 cases while he was a prosecutor for the Justice Department. Bove is now working to purge anyone who worked on Jan. 6 cases.
Reporter Ryan J. Reilly said that some of the prosecutions divided the FBI — just as it divided the country. To which Wallace replied, "It didn't seem to divide Mr. Bove based on this new reporting.
"And I guess what I'm trying to understand is, are you aware of any FBI leaders or individuals who were fired for less than this, 'full-throated support.' In the words of Kevin O'Leary?"

She noted that the NBC report detailed Bove attending daily meetings about Jan. 6 cases and prioritized efforts to find and arrest defendants.
"Are you aware of any FBI leadership or agents who were fired for less than that?" she asked.
Reilly explained that other than the top FBI officials, the 5,000 FBI investigators who touched Jan. 6 cases are simply waiting for the ax.
Wallace turned to David Kelley, former U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York, and said she would bet her last dollar there were agents on the list who have done far less than Bove who will be shoved out.
He agreed, saying that given the number of people involved. When asked "what's really going on," all Kelley could do is laugh uncomfortably and call it a "loaded question."
He admitted, "I'm not quite sure that anybody's really figuring that out. Emil probably knows what's going on."
"Well, listen, your giant, and I hesitate to push back on anything you just said, but they're not interested in reforming the FBI," Wallace countered. "They're interested in remaking it into a political weapon for Trump's use. And I think one of the challenges now, and one of the reasons this Bove reporting is so — it's the most stunning thing I've read since the election, frankly. The person in charge of doing the most historic damage to the Department of Justice is the person who did the thing that he's firing people for doing. You know, it's unbelievable."
Kelley explained that it isn't the first time a pro-Trump person has been on the anti-Trump side. Trump brings people into the fold frequently who have gone up against him. Vice President J.D. Vance was his best example.
