Cohen testimony is ‘going to make Donald Trump jump out of his socks’: Trump biographer
President Donald Trump is freaking out in Vietnam after explosive public testimony from his longtime "fixer" before the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, a Trump biographer explained on MSNBC's "The Last Word" with Lawrence O'Donnell on Wednesday.
Time O'Brien, the executive editor of Bloomberg Opinion, authored the 2005 book TrumpNation: The Art of Being the Donald.
The host played a clip of Michael Cohen revealing that he knows of additional crimes committed by Trump, but he did not elaborate because they are under investigation by federal prosecutors in the Southern District of New York.
"That was one of my jump out of the seat moments," O'Donnell noted.
"One of the atmospheric things about [the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act] is there is someone at the head of the web or in the center of the web orchestrating this," O'Brien noted.
"It came out today, at one point Michael Cohen was asked, so are you saying that Donald Trump orchestrated a criminal fraud with Donald Trump, Jr. and Allen Weisselberg -- yes," he noted.
"Or you had this moment, are there other other crimes that were committed -- yes," he continued.
"Of course, that's going to make Donald Trump jump out of his socks," O'Brien predicted.
"And he's in Hanoi. He just got epically trolled by Michael Cohen from thousands of miles away," he continued.
"He did to Trump what Trump has done to everyone else," O'Brien explained. "He has damning testimony, he's insulted him personally and Trump's in a box halfway around the world and can't do anything about it."
