California Gov. Gavin Newsom slammed Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis for allegedly sending migrants on a plane from Florida to Sacramento, Forbes reported.
Newsom called a DeSantis a “small, pathetic man," according to Forbes. Additionally, California’s Attorney General Rob Bonta suggested that laws may have been broken.
In a statement blaming Florida for the transfer of migrants from Texas to California on board a charter flight, Bonta said the state is "investigating the circumstances by which these individuals were brought to California."
"We are also evaluating potential criminal or civil action against those who transported or arranged for the transport of these vulnerable immigrants," Bonta said. "While this is still under investigation, we can confirm these individuals were in possession of documentation purporting to be from the government of the State of Florida."
"...I want to say this very clearly: State-sanctioned kidnapping is not a public policy choice, it is immoral and disgusting," Bonta said.
