Ousted former Rep. George Santos (R-NY) suggested President Donald Trump was prepared to pardon him, but Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) "blocked" it after he was sentenced to prison for fraud and identity theft.

In a message posted to X on Wednesday, Santos revealed that he was preparing for his 87-month prison sentence.

"I'm heading to prison, folks and I need you to hear this loud and clear," he wrote. "I have no intentions of harming myself, and I will not willingly engage in any sexual activity while I'm in there."

"The statistics around what happens to gay men in BOP custody are horrifying, and that's exactly why I'm putting this out there now. So if something does happen, there's no confusion," he added. "I did NOT kill myself."

Answering a question about a potential pardon, Santos insisted that "Speaker Johnson Blocked it."

"It's not coming and even if it does chances are it will be too late based on the odds," he lamented.
