Indicted Rep. George Santos (R-NY) said he will not run for re-election after a House Ethics Committee report accused the congressman of fraud and other crimes.
Santos told Semafor that he was dropping plans to run for re-election.
The Ethics Committee concluded that Santos "sought to fraudulently exploit every aspect of his House candidacy for his own personal financial profit."
The lawmaker is also facing federal charges related to his campaign.
