President Donald Trump's efforts to keep former staff from testifying before the House Select Committee to Investigate the January 6th Attack on the U.S. Capitol was praised on Newsmax on Wednesday night.

The actions, which former federal prosecutor Glenn Kirschner described as a criminal conspiracy to obstruct Congress, were praised by Greg Stinchfield.

"You know folks, the left will not give up on going after President Trump," Stinchfield said in reference to the former president.

"This January 6th commission is going after anybody who worked around President Trump," he complained of the efforts to provide accountability following the attempt to overturn the election.

"We are now learning, that as they try to subpoena these people that are associated with President Trump, President Trump is going to be fighting back. He is going to invoke executive privilege and that means that people like chief of staff Mark Meadows, Dan Scavino, a top advisor, Kash Patel, another top advisor will not be able to comply with these subpoenas coming from the January 6th commission," he argued, even though the Supreme Court has ruled that invoking executive privilege is a right reserved to the current administration.

"This is what you get with President Trump, you get a man who fights back. You understand me? The president fights back," he said of the former president. "That's what we love about President Trump and he's sticking it to these people trying to go after him."
