A teacher at a Maryland middle school is under investigation after she allegedly made posts to Facebook claiming that the Oct. 7 Hamas terror attack that killed around 1,200 people in Israel was a hoax, The Washington Post reported Wednesday.

Sabrina Khan-Williams, who is currently listed on Tilden Middle School's website as a "Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Teacher," also claimed that Israel is harvesting the organs of Palestinians killed in the ensuing conflict.

“Palestinians are being killed and their organs are being sold. How is real life scarier than the movies??” she wrote, according to screenshots.

“Debunked! No music festival attack. Babies were not burned. Women were not violated. Hospitals were attacked on purpose,” she also wrote.

In a message to parents, school principal Sapna Hopkins said that “an employee may be on leave during the investigation" in regards to the posts, adding that “a strict process governs our response to this matter, and any actions resulting from an investigation will be considered a personnel matter.”

“These social media posts have undermined our school’s values of respect and belonging,” Hopkins wrote. “I understand the deep distress and hurt this incident has caused our community.”

School parent Tamar Lechter said that it "feels especially jarring” to have a DEI teacher “be also the same person who is doing real hatred."

“It begs the question of what is the training and what are we demanding of teachers who come into that space?” said Lechter, who has Israeli citizenship.
