In a new Truth Social post, President Donald Trump appeared to try to implicate a prominent Democrat in a Medicaid fraud arrest announced on Thursday.

The Department of Justice announced that eight individuals in Minnesota were arrested in an approximately $8.4 million Medicaid fraud scheme.

The eight people who were arrested were: Moktar Hass Aden; Mustafa Dayib Ali; Khalid Ahmed Dayib; Abdifitah Mahmoud Mohamed; Christopher Adesoji Falade; Emmanuel Oluwademilade Falade; Asad Ahmed Adow; and Anwar Ahmed Adow.

Trump appeared to try to tie Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) to the crime in a post on Truth Social.

"Does Ilhan Omar know these people?" Trump posted. "Are they from her wonderfully managed Home Country of Somalia?"

Trump's comments come at a time when his allies in Congress are attempting to oust Omar over her comments related to the death of conservative activist Charlie Kirk during an interview with Zeteo News.
