Right-winger Ann Coulter had a meltdown Wednesday as a Univision moderator with an accent helped host the Fox News GOP debate.

"Can we get subtitles for Ana Navarro?" asked conservative Ann Coulter on X, apparently mistaking Univision host Ilia Calderón, who has Colombian heritage, with the American-Nicaraguan host of The View.

Responding to another comment that claimed the number of "illegal aliens"in the U.S. had grown from 3 million during President Ronald Reagan's administration to 30 million now, she responded, "Including one of the moderators."

And responding to an X user asking why Ron DeSantis was apparently being kept quiet on the stage, she said, "They're afraid he might build the wall and they'd run out of moderators."

The choice of Calderón as one of the moderators also prompted outrage among other commentators on X.

"Why is Ilia Calderon, who is not even a U.S. citizen, a moderator for the Fox News GOP United States presidential debate?" asked a user called Mimi Jones. "Plus, her English is very poor."

A user called Daytona Slim mocked the network and the candidates for their reaction to the moderator.

"Lol at how uncomfortable the Fox News moderators and the candidates at the GOP debate are with trying to be inclusive of Spanish speakers.... They cant pronounce "Univision" or even "Calderon."
