Ivanka Trump is likely going to be "cornered and carved up" Wednesday when she gives testimony in the $250 million civil fraud case against her family, biographer Tim O'Brien argued on MSNBC.
The testimony comes just two days after former President Donald Trump clashed with state attorneys while on the witness stand, O'Brien noted Tuesday. And when Ivanka speaks, her testimony could cause even more damage.
"There's a strong likelihood she will just get cornered and carved up," O'Brien said. "This tension with her father, all of the children are captive to Donald Trump, they don't really exist comfortably outside his orbit."
O'Brien detailed the complex relationship between Ivanka and Donald, who he notes has reportedly repeatedly sexualized his own daughter in the past.
"So the whole thing just makes for quite a show in the courtroom," O'Brien said.

Ivanka is not named in New York Attorney General Letitia James' lawsuit, which contends the Trump Organization fraudulently inflated its worth. But Ivanka has been ordered to testify despite a last-minute childcare hardship plea.
"She will be the final witness in the A.G. office's final questioning" said anchor Nicolle Wallace. "Then the tables will turn and the Trump team will begin calling their witnesses in the case."

O'Brien said he believes Ivanka will face intense pressure from the Attorney General's office prosecutors who are going to ask tough questions about Trump Organization business dealings.
"She's going to get facts put in front of her, which is always challenging for everyone in the Trump family," O'Brien said. "They're used to spinning tales about their business and tales about their success and their banking relationship and their relationship with tax authorities and insurers in the court of public opinion. But it's a very different matter when you are put under oath and given documents for your own testimony."
