House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer (R-KY) declared that Rep. Summer Lee (D-PA) was "out of order" after she demanded contempt proceedings against Jeffrey Epstein accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell.

During Wednesday's Republican-controlled hearing seeking to hold Bill and Hillary Clinton in contempt for declining to testify on Epstein, Lee noted that Attorney General Pam Bondi had also not responded to a subpoena on the matter.

"The Department of Justice has been legally obligated to hand over the full un-redacted Epstein files to this committee since August, the same exact subpoena that they are using to hold the Clintons in contempt," Lee said. "Mr. Comer, if you've made no effort to bring in Pam Bondi."

"I agree. We need to hear from Ghislaine Maxwell," Comer replied. "We've been trying to get her in for a deposition, and our lawyers have been saying that she's going to plead the fifth."

"Then bring her," Lee interrupted. "If the difference is clear, the difference here is that they are also trying to negotiate. You have not moved in the same way [as against the Clintons]."

"You're out of order!" Comer exclaimed. "You're out of order. You're out of order. Listen, you're out of order, Miss Lee. You're out of order."

"Where are the contempt charges, Mr. Chairman?" Rep. Robert Garcia (D-CA) noted.

"You're out of order too, Mr. Garcia," Comer snapped.
