'This is what we call tilting': Gov pinpoints how Trump's 'gambling away your tax dollars'

Donald Trump is "gambling away your tax dollars," according to a top Democratic contender for 2028.

Illinois governor JB Pritzker, a billionaire, reportedly took home $1.4 million in winnings after playing blackjack in 2024. Now he's putting his expertise to the test, flagging Trump's recent move as a gambling strategy.

The Washington Post reported, "President Trump raises his global tariff to 15%, beginning new chapter of economic uncertainty after the Supreme Court ruled the president had exceeded his authority with his tariffs on goods from around the world."

That led Pritzker to call out the casino comparison.

"In poker, this is what we call 'tilting,'" the governor explained. "Even after the Supreme Court dealt Trump a loss yesterday, he's doubling down on higher costs for every American—and gambling away your tax dollars."
