A man accused of using a flagpole to beat police officers as he rioted at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6 has been arrested.

Jeremy Rodgers, 28, of Michigan, was arrested in Florida Friday, according to reports.

Officials say he hit a police officer standing guard outside the Capitol three times on his helmet before swinging the flagpole at other officers.

The attack was caught on surveillance video.

He was also seen using the flagpole to prevent officers closing the door of the Capitol, and of waving the flag as he paraded through the Rotunda inside the building, according to reports.
