
"The View" hosts spent the opening segment of Thursday's show reporting the crisis in the House, talking about how they think Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) should be the last person that Congress should have leading the institution.
Among the revelations they discussed was a report that anti-Jordan Republicans drew straws to help ensure their opposition votes weren't coming all at once and that the no-vote would continue to grow over time.
When the co-hosts came back from a commercial break, the news had already changed –Jordan was out.

Whoopi Goldberg was tasked with reporting the news, but she couldn't control her giggles.
"So, welcome back. We just got word that — that —" Goldberg began before snickering. Her giggles grew to the extent that she couldn't speak.
Sunny Hostin stepped in to try and help: "Congressman Jim Jordan....."
Goldberg still couldn't continue.
"Is planning to not hold a third vote to be speaker," said Alyssa Farah Griffin. "It sounds like he will be supporting temporarily having Patrick McHenry."
