Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) vowed Wednesday to subpoena New York County District Attorney Alvin Bragg and Assistant District Attorney Matthew Colangelo if they declined an invitation to appear before his committee.
On Friday, Jordan sent letters to the two New York prosecutors to ask them to testify about the prosecution of former President Donald Trump.
"We've also asked them to come and testify next week in front of the Select Committee on the Weaponization of Government, because that's what we think this is, this lawfare operation, what they did to President Trump up there in New York," Jordan told podcast host Charlie Kirk on Wednesday.
Jordan assumed, "They're going to say no."
"And if they do, then we will look to use the compulsory, the subpoena process to get them in front of the committee and answer questions," he added.

The lawmaker said that he planned to expedite subpoenas for the New York prosecutors.
"We think in this situation, because we're talking about the leading candidate for the highest office in the land, a former president, we think we invite them to testify," he remarked. "If they don't show, we issue a subpoena."
"If they don't comply with the subpoena, then of course you move to contempt, which is something we've used before."
Jordan has defied a congressional subpoena from the Jan. 6 Committee for over a year. The lawmaker was referred to the House Ethics Committee after he refused to comply.
