Investigation finds radical-right extremists are teaching hundreds of cops

On Friday, Reuters reported on new revelations about how a few far-right figures have taken jobs training hundreds of police officers around the United States — focusing in particular on five trainers with extremist views.

"The five trainers have aired views including the belief in a vote-rigging conspiracy to unseat Trump in the 2020 election," reported Julia Harte and Alexandra Ulmer. "One trainer attended Trump’s January 6, 2021, rally at the U.S. Capitol that devolved into a riot, injuring more than 100 police officers. Two of the trainers have falsely asserted that prominent Democrats including President Joe Biden are pedophiles, a core tenet of the QAnon conspiracy theory. Four have endorsed or posted records of their past interactions with far-right extremist figures, including prominent 'constitutional sheriff' leader David Clarke Jr. and Proud Boys leader Joe Biggs, who is being prosecuted for his involvement in the Capitol riots."

Former Trump ambassador regrets not pushing back against Giuliani on Ukraine: 'I was a doofus'

Gordon Sondland was briefly a household name after he confirmed during testimony before the House Intelligence Committee in 2019 that former President Donald Trump had insisted on a quid pro quo deal with Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy: Zelenskyy wanted a meeting with Trump and Trump wanted Zelenskyy to announce an investigation of an energy company associated with Joe Biden’s son Hunter.

Since being fired by Trump, the hotelier has returned to the business that made him wealthy and largely stayed out of the public spotlight.

How a Christian cellphone company with piles of cash is making North Texas a political battleground

KELLER — As Tarrant County continues moving away from its perch as one of America’s reddest urban counties and public schools increasingly serve as battlefields for culture wars, school board races in four North Texas districts have quickly transformed from traditionally low-profile contests into high-stakes political conflicts.

The races include the kind of heated debates — about how America’s history of racism should be taught and what books kids should be able access on campuses — that have recently become typical in Texas and across the country. But the four Tarrant County districts’ school board races, which voters will decide Saturday, also feature something rare for Texas’ nonpartisan and typically sleepy school board races: hundreds of thousands of dollars in political contributions and campaign spending.

That’s largely driven by Christian cellphone company Patriot Mobile, which has put $500,000 into a political action committee supporting conservative candidates in the Carroll, Grapevine-Colleyville, Keller and Mansfield school districts. What’s more, Patriot Mobile Action is led by a seasoned local political campaign expert and has contracted with top conservative political consulting firms that usually focus on statewide races and presidential campaigns.

Trump attorney Lin Wood turns on ‘Audit Force’ — and suggests the leader secretly tortures children: report

Conspiracy theorists pushing Donald Trump's "Big Lie" of election fraud are feuding as they continue chasing their debunked conspiracy theory more than 500 days after the GOP nominee lost the 2020 presidential election to Joe Biden.

"A shady 'audit' of the 2020 presidential election has concluded early, with the company behind the recount handing over thousands of dollars and announcing a finding of 'no election fraud.' Now the company’s allies are accusing it of 'bailing' on the audit, and branding each other as liars and pedophiles," The Daily Beast reported Thursday.

GOP guv hopeful Karrin Taylor Robson: The 2020 election ‘wasn’t fair’ to Trump

Karrin Taylor Robson, a Republican candidate for Arizona governor, doesn’t think Joe Biden was fairly elected president in 2020.

It’s the most definitive statement she has made about the election during the course of her campaign, which launched nearly a year ago: “Joe Biden may be the president, but the election wasn’t fair.”

Trump-loving candidate blames election loss on 'coup' from 'RINO establishment'

The day after far-right Republican Robert Regan lost a special state House election Tuesday in a surprise upset, Regan blamed establishment Republicans for his loss during a radio talk show appearance.

“This was a big, big win for … quite frankly, the RINO [Republican in Name Only] establishment, who’s proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that they would rather have a Democrat in office than an American-first Republican candidate like me,” Regan said on “Trucker Randy” Bishop’s radio show Wednesday.

Leaked audio reveals GOP's David Perdue tried to win Senate election by wooing 'anti-Trump' voters

David Perdue is banking on former President Donald Trump's endorsement to help him defeat Gov. Brian Kemp in Georgia's Republican primary fight. But the new book “This Will Not Pass” by New York Times reporters Jonathan Martin and Alexander Burns reveals that in the run-up to his runoff election against Jon Ossoff, Purdue actively sought to convince "anti-Trump" voters to help him win the Senate vote.

It's yet another example of GOP candidates saying one thing about Trump in public - when seeking his blessing - and another behind closed doors as they plot their political careers.

Trump-backed Michigan Republican falsely claims the insurrection was a false flag operation

She doesn’t believe Joe Biden won the presidency in November 2020, but does believe the conspiracy that the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol was a false flag operation.
And if the Michigan Republican Party gets its way, she will be Michigan’s next secretary of state.

QAnon-connected candidate Kristina Karamo was endorsed last month as the party’s choice to take on Democratic Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson in November, with the winner administering the state’s elections. That could have big implications for the 2024 presidential race where Michigan is again poised to be a pivotal swing state.

That’s no coincidence as Karamo, who was strongly endorsed by former President Donald Trump, was catapulted to prominence by the former president because of her willingness to help spread the lie that the 2020 election was “rigged.”
