Actor John Schneider, best known for his role as Bo Duke on the classic TV show Dukes of Hazzard, responded to a post on X from President Joe Biden late Wednesday — and suggested that he be publicly executed.
" Trump poses many threats to our country: The right to choose, civil rights, voting rights, and America’s standing in the world," the post to Biden's account stated.
"But the greatest threat he poses is to our democracy. If we lose that, we lose everything," Biden wrote on X, likely referring to the recent ruling from the Colorado Supreme Court which booted Donald Trump from the state ballot.
Beneath the post, Schneider replied: "Mr. President, I believe you are guilty of treason and should be publicly hung. Your son too. Your response is..? Sincerely, John Schneider."
Schneider's response got a mixed reaction in the comment thread that developed below.

"Just some good ol boys Telling Presidents they should be hung," wrote @damintoell, referring to the theme song from the Dukes of Hazzard.
"Most young folks have no idea who John Schneider is, so allow me to school y’all. There was this show when I was a kid (early 80’s) called Dukes of Hazard. It was filled with racist references, although I did not connect the dots at the time. So I am not one bit surprised that an actor who agreed to be in this show is a Trump supporter today and posted a death threat to our Democratic President, Joe Biden and his son," wrote @cwebbonline.
