Former Trump lawyer Jenna Ellis is locked in a Twitter feud with failed Arizona gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake after Ellis accused her of "couch-surfing" at Mar-a-Lago.
Ellis shared a People Magazine article to Twitter that cited anonymous sources claiming Lake is angling to be Donald Trump's running mate for 2024 and has become a frequent guest at Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort.
"She's couch-surfing at her friend's house like a bum college dropout," Ellis tweeted.
As Newsweek points out, Ellis has received the ire of Trump supporters after she made positive remarks about Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis.
The official campaign account for Lake fired back at Ellis, saying: "We see you've entered the 'school girl gossip' part of your meltdown."
In a tweet that contained a GIF of a book with a message reading "burn book," Ellis replied with a message that seemingly addressed Lake's senior adviser Caroline Wren.
"Yet, here you are, not denying it and so triggered. Need this, Caroline?" Ellis wrote.
In another tweet, Ellis asked Lake, "From what wing of the AZ governor's mansion did you tweet this?"
Lake has tried and failed numerous times to overturn the results of the 2022 Arizona gubernatorial election, which she lost to Democrat Katie Hobbs. Lake claims, without evidence, that the election was rigged against her.
