Failed Arizona gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake posted about her upcoming book Friday – commenters appear to think it's all about her ripping off her own supporters.
Lake, who frequently posts about her book, called UNAFRAID: Just Getting Started, as well as her MAGA anthem song questioning the 2020 election results, announced Friday that UNAFRAID is set to finally release next week.
"I can’t wait for you all to read it!" she tweeted. "Be sure to PRE-ORDER NOW."
But the vast majority of comments on the post are negative, and many of them include a variation of the word "grifter."
"Does it explain how to grift low income supporters out of their hard earned income for how to lose elections and lose all your court cases where you said we did awesome?" Derrick Byron, a supporter of Ron DeSantis, wrote. "Grifting POS!"
Another commenter wrote, "You should have named it 'Art of the Grift' a fantasy novel."
Other commenters referenced the fact that Lake is being sued for defamation by a fellow Arizona Republican who works for the county government.
"Grifting for your defamation lawsuit, you're going to need it," one commenter wrote Friday.
