President Donald Trump's press secretary Karoline Leavitt was shamed Friday for delivering a "gushing tirade" a commentator claimed was nonsense designed to "soothe" her boss's hurt feelings.

Podcaster Greg Sargent highlighted Leavitt's performance at a Thursday press conference where she “rushed to soothe” the president with “a ridiculous, gushing tirade designed to create the grotesquely false impression that he has the support of a very large majority of Americans.”

“The last time I checked [Rep.] Jasmine Crockett [D-Texas] couldn’t dream of winning such a majority of the public as president Trump did,” Leavitt said, responding to recent criticism from Crockett’s recent criticism of the MAGA movement.

Leavitt went on to portray a large ‘movement’ of Trump supporters ‘filled with hardworking patriots, forgotten men and women, business owners, law enforcement officers, nurses, teachers and middle America.”

Trump is spiraling over his plummeting approval ratings, lashing out at Fox News after its latest poll delivered devastating news: 54% of Americans disapprove of his performance while only 46% approve.

In a Truth Social meltdown, Trump branded Fox's pollster "crooked" and claimed "MAGA hates Fox News."

The numbers are brutal across the board. Trump is underwater on immigration (46-53%), foreign policy (42-57%), and catastrophically bad on the economy (40-58%) and inflation (34-64%).
