Far-right Trump strategist Stephen Miller's wife invited the co-owner of the Dallas Cowboys onto her podcast to talk about a Super Bowl controversy that has become a hot-button issue for the MAGA movement, reported the Daily Beast — and she didn't get the answer she was likely hoping for.

Katie Miller turned her discussion with Charlotte Jones, who also serves as the Cowboys' chief brand officer, to Bad Bunny, the Puerto Rican rap artist who will be delivering the Super Bowl's halftime show — a move that has enraged Trump supporters both because he will be performing in Spanish, and because he has been outspoken against Immigration and Customs Enforcement mass deportation operations around the country.

Jones, however, did not take the bait.

“I think it’s awesome,” she told Miller. “And I think our Latina fan base is amazing. When you think about the Super Bowl, you want the number one performer in the world to be there. We’re on a global stage, and we can’t ever forget that. Our game goes out to everybody around the world, and to get the premier entertainer to want to be a part of our game, I think is amazing.”

Jones did not stop there, reminding Miller that “we have a mixed culture. I mean, our whole society is based on immigrants that have come here and founded our country. And I think we can celebrate that.”

Katie Miller's podcast has been accused of being a setup to goose the political ambitions of her husband, by making his ideology and his personal life seem more normalized.
