Right-wing podcaster Katie Miller was roundly mocked on Monday after she attempted to chide one of President Donald Trump's biggest rivals on social media, according to a new report.
California Gov. Gavin Newsom's office announced that he will travel to Davos, a popular conference for the world's economic elites, and tell the crowd what he thinks of Trump. Newsom and Trump have squabbled in the past over Trump's attempts to federalize the state's National Guard troops and his administration's immigration policies.
Miller, who is known for having a venomous social media presence, fired off a post on X, saying "Nothing says America First quite like commiserating to the crowd of the World's Elites."
Observers were quick to note that Trump will also be attending Davos, The Daily Beast reported, where he is expected to pitch his $1 billion membership club, the "Board of Peace." Some invitees to the Board include Russian President Vladimir Putin and Belarusian autocrat Aleksandr Lukashenko.
"One X user wrote, 'You gotta double check this stuff before you pop off,' including a link to a Reuters story about Trump’s upcoming Davos meeting," according to the report.
"(Donald Trump will be going to Davos this week also)" Andrew Feinberg, White House correspondent for The Independent, posted on X.
