A candidate for a New York council position has lost the support of the town's Republicans after complaints that he stands completely naked behind the screen door of his house in full view of passersby, ABC 7 reported.

Kevin Sabella Sr., 63, is running for Babylon Town Council and is a financial adviser and member of his local church. Speaking to ABC 7, van driver Victoria Lombardi says she drives by Sabella's house often and has seen him standing naked in his doorway frequently over the past two months.

"He would open his front door and be there standing, completely nude," she said.

In light of his behavior, Babylon's Republican Committee said they no longer support his candidacy.

"My concern would be that if he would be elected to the Town Board, I don't know what we could be able to trust him with," Babylon Town Supervisor Rich Schaffer said.

ABC7 said a reporter unsuccessfully tried to contact Sabella multiple times.
