Rittenhouse juror booted from trial after joking to bailiff about shooting of Jacob Blake: report
Screengrab.

CORRECTION: A previous version of this story claimed that Rittenhouse carried his weapon across state lines. This is incorrect. Prosecutors of the case said there is no evidence this happened and in October 2020, the Office of the State's Attorney in Lake County said that an "investigation revealed the gun used in the Kenosha shooting was purchased, stored and used in Wisconsin. Additionally, there is no evidence the gun was ever physically possessed by Kyle Rittenhouse in Illinois.” Raw Story regrets the error.

Judge Bruce Schroeder on Thursday dismissed a juror from Kyle Rittenhouse's intentional homicide trial in Wisconsin, Law & Crime reports.

The juror reportedly joked with a bailiff about the police shooting of Jacob Blake. The shooting launched protests.

Prosecutor Thomas Binger said he heard the quote "fourth hand" but described what he had heard.

"Why did the Kenosha Police shoot Jacob Blake seven times?" the juror reportedly asked. "Because they ran out of bullets."

The judge said the "appearance of bias is present" in describing why he had dismissed the juror.
