Right-wing activist Drew Hernandez on Thursday testified on behalf of the defense of Kenosha shooter Kyle Rittenhouse, and he claimed that Rittenhouse was trying to deescalate the threat of violence before he fatally shot two Black Lives Matter demonstrators.
However, Hernandez last year employed violent rhetoric during a pro-Trump rally that occurred shortly after the former president was declared the loser of the 2020 election.
As Right Wing Watch reported at the time, Hernandez riled up a crowd of Trump supporters by glorifying violence against Antifa and Black Lives Matter activists, and he went so far as to vow "bloodshed."
"Whether Donald Trump wins or not, it's your time to rise!" he said. "Because we will not go down without a fight! We will not go down without bloodshed!"
Hernandez then went so far as to invoke launching a second civil war.
"Let me just say what's on all of your minds: If they want a second civil war, then they got one!" he said. "Because I will not let this country fall! I will not let this country burn! I will fight to the very last breath!"
