Republican National Committee (RNC) co-chair Lara Trump insisted that her father-in-law had "no intention on retribution or revenge" after a report said President Joe Biden was considering preemptive pardons for people who might be unfairly prosecuted.
During a Thursday interview on Fox News, host Bill Hemmer told Lara Trump that "some are fearing retribution on behalf of your father-in-law when he goes back to the White House."
Hemmer noted there was "no evidence" that anyone had sought a pardon.
"Donald Trump himself said that success will be his revenge," Lara Trump replied. "If there's anyone who understands how egregious it is to have the politicization of our systems against one individual, it is Donald Trump."
"And so I would say, look, if anyone has done anything wrong, then maybe they should be worried, not because of Donald Trump, because maybe they've broken the law," she added.
"He has no intention on retribution or revenge."

In June, however, then-former President Donald Trump vowed to retaliate against the current administration.
"I will appoint a real special prosecutor to go after the most corrupt president in the history of America, Joe Biden, and go after the Biden crime family," he said.
