A feud erupted between one of Donald Trump's top allies and the brother of Trump's choice for surgeon general.
Casey and Calley Means have both been tapped by the Trump administration. This week, reports said Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. nominated Casey Means to be the surgeon general while her brother is working as a White House advisor, Axios reported.
The two are "health influencers," the report said, with "little government experience."

On Friday, Calley Means announced, "Just received information that Laura Loomer is taking money from industry to scuttle President Trump’s agenda."
He told her that if he's wrong, "sue me and let’s do discovery."
Laura Loomer responded by going on the attack.
"You are a PR spin master (funny how you never talk about your career in PR and crisis management) and you are threatened by my access to President Trump and the fact that White House officials called me to discuss the posts I made about your sister. Why? Because nobody who works for Trump showed him any of these receipts on your degenerate sister," Loomer said of the surgeon general nominee.
"I was told your sister has hired you to do crisis PR and that you are paying the right wing podcasters who are giving her endorsements despite her lack of qualifications. Maybe you should sue me and we will find out in discovery. You are lashing out because your lies have actually made their way to the President. Accuse me of taking money from whoever you want. You’re on video admitting you are a NEVER TRUMPER. You and your sister both admit to RECREATIONAL DRUG USE," she continued.
She went on to allege that Casey Means was unable to finish her medical residency due to "a severe anxiety disorder."
"Is this why her patients were not getting better? Is it because she was using Psilocybin as she admitted in her own newsletter? Psilocybin is illegal. Psilocybin is a Schedule I substance under the Controlled Substances Act. Schedule I drugs, which include heroin and LSD, have a high potential for abuse and serve no legitimate medical purpose in the United States," Loomer attacked.
She said that the surgeon general nominee calls the drugs "plant medicine," which Loomer alleged they'd both used. Psilocybin is the psychedelic compound present in many species of mushrooms. It can cause euphoria and sometimes have "hallucinogenic effects," the Alcohol and Drug Foundation explained.
Colorado was the first state to decriminalize the recreational use of "magic mushrooms" in 2022. The ballot measure, Proposition 122, passed with 53% of the vote in the state, said a Colorado defense attorney's informational site. Oregon was the first state in 2020 to legalize magic mushrooms for mental health treatment, but not for recreational use, the website Psychedelic Alpha said.
"Does President Trump know you and your sister recreationally use Psilocybin?" asked Loomer. "Why would we want a US Surgeon General who uses controlled substances recreationally according to her own newsletter? Isn’t she also pregnant? Yikes. Poor child. Could you and your sister even pass a random drug test? I could."
She went on to call him a "Never Trump grifter." She then included screen captures of articles about the duo.
Calley Means responded by posting a video interview, writing, "Here is the quote she took 'never trumper' out of. I’ll let the audience decide who is in good faith."
In the video, he admits he was once a "never Trumper," but changed after watching Trump "care" and exhibit "moral clarity" changed him.
