MAGA influencers Steve Bannon and Laura Loomer agreed that President Donald Trump's perceived enemies were "guilty of treason," which carries the death penalty.
During a Thursday interview on the War Room podcast, Bannon asked Loomer for her reaction to rumors of a special counsel to investigate former special counsel Robert Mueller, former CIA Director John Brennan, former FBI Director James Comey, the impeachments of President Donald Trump, and the prosecution of Jan. 6 rioters.
"Look, it's absolutely necessary," Loomer insisted. "This was a campaign promise. So absolutely, they have to do this. President Trump said that they were going to get accountability, and he promised as part of his agenda 47 to go after weaponized government and to crack down on the weaponization of the intel agencies."
"So naturally in order to fulfill that campaign promise, you have to appoint a special counsel to investigate these people," she continued. "People need to start going to jail. We need to take the handcuffs out and start dragging people to jail."
"We need to start having conversations about military tribunals and charging people for treason with the appropriate punishment for treason."
"There's no doubt," Bannon replied. "I think we have to have a formal process to adjudicate."
