Police in Colorado have determined that GOP Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) did not commit domestic violence during an altercation at a restaurant with her ex-husband, WESH2 reported.

Jayson Boebert accused the congresswoman of punching him in the face, but later retracted the claim.

“Due to a lack of any evidence, the allegations of Domestic Violence against Rep. Lauren Boebert are unfounded and the investigation into Rep. Lauren Boebert is closed,” police said.

Boebert's ex-husband had been arrested on weapons and assault charges stemming from the apparent altercation with her at a restaurant in Silt, Colorado, over the weekend, police said.

On Tuesday, he said the argument stemmed from a conversation in which he told Boebert he wanted her back.
