Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) received a restraining order against her ex-husband, Jayson.
The Colorado Sun reported Monday that Boebert had requested and received the restraining order after completing the required paperwork on Friday.
The restraining order request accused Boebert's ex-husband of "abusing children in household" and making menacing phone calls.
The most recent incident involved "threat by damage to property," the filing said, noting that police were called at the time.
Boebert's former husband faced arrest last month after he was accused of two domestic violence incidents that involved the lawmaker and her children.

"One was an argument between the couple at a restaurant in Rifle on Jan. 6 where police say he was uncooperative and had to be removed from the business. The second incident happened Jan. 9 when Jayson allegedly attacked the couple's 18-year-old son and grabbed a rifle after the teen called authorities, according to court documents," the Sun reported.
Jayson Boebert is facing charges of assault, disorderly conduct, criminal trespass, and obstructing a peace officer.
A Garfield County court hearing was scheduled for Thursday to make the restraining order permanent.
