Lauren Boebert’s Democratic challenger tears apart her anti-veterans voting record

Far-right Rep. Lauren Boebert of Colorado has claimed to be very supportive of the United States’ military veterans. But Adam Frisch, the Democrat who is running against Boebert in Colorado’s 3rd Congressional District, is attacking her for failing to support bills in Congress that would benefit veterans.

On Twitter, Boebert posted, “I voted for four pro-veteran bills that were signed into law and led several amendments to provide funding for mental health and other important services for our veterans.” But Frisch, responding in a Twitter thread on September 24, countered, “Lauren Boebert is no friend of Veterans. I will protect their interests once in Washington.”

In an op-ed for the New York Times, Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD) set the record straight with GOP lawmakers who are playing the 2nd Amendment card to justify the Jan. 6 insurrection.

Raskin, who taught constitutional law before entering Congress, began by calling out Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) before singling out Reps. Chip Roy (R-TX) and Lauren Boebert (R-CO) for what he called their championing of the "insurrectionist theory of the Second Amendment."

Lauren Boebert and Marjorie Taylor Greene among US Republicans celebrating fascist victory in Italy

As much of the world watched with alarm as the fascist Fratelli d'Italia party led a far-right coalition to victory in Italy on Sunday, Republican lawmakers in the United States had a much different reaction: Open glee.

Pointing happily to the far-right's recent electoral surge in Sweden, U.S. Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) tweeted that "the entire world is beginning to understand that the Woke Left does nothing but destroy."

Rick Wilson pours cold water on Lauren Boebert's desire to turn America into a 'Christian nation'

Appearing on MSNBC early Sunday morning, former GOP campaign strategist Rick Wilson dropped the hammer on Republicans such as Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) who are campaigning on a promise to turn the US into a "Christian nation."

Reacting to a Politico report on the rise of Christian nationalism among the far-right, Wilson said the Republican Party and far-right evangelicals will rue the day they made this their rallying cry.

'QMaga': How QAnon, MAGA and 'Christian nationalism' have pushed the GOP into 'madness'

During his 2020 campaign, former President Donald Trump made a point of being vague when discussing the far-right QAnon movement. Trump refrained from overtly promoting QAnon and its conspiracy theories, but he wouldn’t say anything critical of them either and claimed that he “didn’t know much about” their movement.

Times have changed. Trump is now openly promoting QAnon and is using exact phrases associated with the group, including “the storm” and their slogan “where we go one, we go all.” And Trump is hardly the only MAGA Republican who is embracing QAnon.

Lauren Boebert 'can go to Iran' if she wants religion directing the government: Rick Wilson

On Thursday's edition of MSNBC's "Deadline: White House," Lincoln Project co-founder and longtime Republican strategist turned Trump opponent Rick Wilson tore into Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) for promoting an extreme version of Christian nationalism that demands the federal government be subordinate to the church.

His remarks came in the middle of a discussion about a new Lincoln Project ad slamming Pennsylvania GOP gubernatorial candidate Doug Mastriano for his close ties to Gab, a far-right social media platform that has become a nexus of anti-Semitic hatred.

Marjorie Taylor Greene leads GOP drive to criminalize gender-affirming care for transgender youth

WASHINGTON — Conservative Republicans gathered outside the U.S. Capitol on Tuesday to commit to bringing legislation to the floor that would make it a felony to perform gender-affirming care on transgender youth, should the GOP take control of the U.S. House following the November midterm elections.

“How on earth can this be happening in America? It’s hard to even understand,” said Georgia Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, the main sponsor of the bill, referring to gender-affirming medical treatments sometimes used by transgender and nonbinary people, including minors.

Legal experts explain why Trump's demand for a special master 'really backfired'

Among those in the audience for the first hearing of Donald Trump's hand-picked special master was a former adviser and prosecutor to Robert Mueller, Andrew Weissmann, who described the court as finally being run by an "adult in the room," referring to Judge Raymond Dearie.

New York University law professor Ryan Goodman, who also writes at Just Security, made it clear that the demand to appoint a special master “royally backfired on Trump."

Far-right Republicans trying to disenfranchise 'lame duck' Dems

More than 50 House and Senate Republicans are joining in an effort to disenfranchise "lame duck" Democrats in the House and Senate to prevent them from voting on critical budget legislation, but not trying to apply the same standard to their fellow GOP lawmakers.

In a move that sounds somewhat like what Senator Mitch McConnell did to derail Merrick Garland's Supreme Court appointment, the far right Republicans are urging their colleagues to block any budget bill until a new Congress is sworn in, hoping Democrats lose control of one or both branches of Congress.

Colorado GOP governor candidate Heidi Ganahl affirms Biden was ‘legally’ elected

Heidi Ganahl, the Republican candidate running for Colorado governor, answered “yes” when asked during a candidate forum Saturday if she believes President Joe Biden was “legally elected.”

Ganahl, a University of Colorado regent, had long avoided questions during her campaign about whether she agrees with former President Donald Trump’s “big lie” that the 2020 election was stolen from him. She has expressed support for a Colorado-based activist group that promotes election conspiracy theories, and she chose as her running mate Danny Moore, who has previously said that the election was stolen.

'She’s a joke!' Lauren Boebert berated by local TV broadcaster after debate 'embarrassment'

Local Colorado broadcasters addressed local congresswoman Lauren Boebert, who is up for reelection, along with her colleagues. But those back home take issue with how bad she's making their state look.

Republican analyst Michael Fields attacked the moderator at the recent debate with Boebert and claimed that it didn't matter because she would be reelected anyway.
