Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham (SC) indirectly hit out at Matt Gaetz (R-Fl.) Sunday, saying his promise to oust Kevin McCarthy as House Speaker would be a “disaster” for his party.
Gaetz told CNN Sunday that he will bring a motion to fire McCarthy this week, following outrage among the right-wing of the party over a government funding bill that was agreed on Saturday.

Graham went on CBS’ Face The Nation to slam the move.
“I think Kevin is the right guy at the right time,” Graham said.
“The only way he loses his job is if a handful of Republicans join up with the Democratic Party to fire him. That would be a disaster for the future of the Republican Party. That's not going to happen.
“Kevin has the overwhelming confidence of his membership. He worked to avoid a shutdown.”
