Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) appears unhappy that members of her own party are working to tank a bipartisan immigration reform deal that they had demanded as a precondition for sending military aid to Ukraine.

As reported by CNN's Manu Raju, Murkowski called out Republicans who are trying to block the bill from coming up for a vote because former President Donald Trump is demanding it be stopped so that he has an issue to use to campaign against President Joe Biden.

"It was the Republicans, I will remind you, that told the Democrats months ago that if you want to try to get your Ukraine funding, you're going to have to take up the border issue," she said. "This is what we asked for."

She then pointed out that Sen. James Lankford (R-OK), who is a well known immigration hawk, was responsible for crafting the bipartisan deal.

"This is what we asked Senator Lankford to negotiate," she said. "It's what he did. He did it in good faith. So let's take up what we asked for."

The Alaska Republican also seemed to pour cold water on House Republicans' bid to impeach Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.

"We’re busy, right?" she said. "To have to take a detour from the important work that's going on – I've got a four corners meeting as an appropriator tomorrow, we're trying to get the security supplemental advanced."
