FAA investigates after yet another fatal plane crash

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) were reportedly investigating after one person died in a crash involving two planes in Arizona.

Marana Regional Airport personnel confirmed to KGUN 9 that the crash occurred Wednesday morning near Tucson. The Marana Police Department said that one person was dead.

A spokesperson for the Town of Marana said that the FAA and NTSB were investigating the crash.

One local pilot was preparing to fly his plane to Payson and was informed the airport was closed, he told 13 News.

Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy confirmed to Fox News on Wednesday that around 400 workers had been fired by the FAA.

One terminated employee told Rolling Stone that Donald Trump was at risk of being known as "President Plane Accident" because of the number of crashes during his first three weeks in office.

"Is that how Donald Trump wants to be remembered?" the former employee asked.
