Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) was forced to bang her gavel dozens of times as she lost control of a Delivering on Government Efficiency subcommittee hearing.

During Wednesday's hearing on transgender women in sports, Greene tried to shut down Rep. Melanie Stansbury (D-NM).

"You took a minute of my time, wasting my time on a non-point of order," Greene told the ranking Democrat.

"Your time was not wasted," Stansbury insisted as Greene banged the gavel. "And to the trans community, we stand with you, with the LGBTQ plus community, we stand with you, and you can raise your eardrums all you want, Madam Chair, but we stand with the LGBTQ plus community, and you can gavel me to order."

"This hearing will come to order," Greene repeatedly said, slamming the gavel on the dais over and over again.

Rep. Stephen Lynch (D-MA) asked Greene to appoint a timekeeper so both parties could have equal time.

"We will consider that," the chair stated before shouting at Lynch: "Okay! You took a minute of my time!"

"Those are the rules!" Lynch exclaimed.

"You're wasting your time," Greene said. "We are keeping equal time."

"Either we go by the rules or we're out of here," Lynch warned.
