A new CNN report revealed unsavory comments they say North Carolina gubernatorial Republican candidate Mark Robinson made online.

All eyes were on CNN Thursday afternoon as rumors spread about a damning report that had forced Robinson to cancel campaign events as North Carolina insiders urged the Trump-endorsed candidate to drop out of his race.

The report dropped about 3:20 p.m.

"Slavery is not bad," Robinson reportedly wrote. "Some people need to be slaves. I wish they would bring it (slavery) back. I would certainly buy a few."

Robinson denies the report and calls it a political hit piece.

"You know my words," Robinson said in a video statement. "You know my character and you know that I have been completely transparent in this race and before."

The Carolina Journal reports that state Republicans were putting pressure on Robinson to drop out of the race before the story was even released — but that Robinson denies the reporting.

The North Carolina State Board of Elections told Anderson candidates have until 11:59 p.m. Thursday night to withdraw.

Earlier this month, New York Magazine reported another salacious story about the North Carolina Republican.

"Mark Robinson, the Republican candidate for governor in North Carolina, reportedly watched porn in private booths up to five days a week in the ’90s," the outlet tweeted on Sept. 3. "He strenuously denies that as well as the Holocaust."
