'Marsha, Marsha, Marsha': GOP senator Blackburn overwhelmed by mockery after Trump comment

U.S. Senator Marsha Blackburn was inundated with mockery after she posted a simple pro-Donald Trump message on her social media.

Blackburn, a Republican and an ally to Trump, has had problems appealing to some of Trump's base fans. In July of last year, Trump himself posted that she was "a fantastic Senator for the Great State of Tennessee," and got pushback from his MAGA supporters.

It is possible that this past friction is what led Blackburn on Friday to take to Facebook and write, "America is back," without any additional context.

Less than an hour after that was posted, comedian Ian Thomas Malone replied, "No money for the National Park Service, but 100 million for a North Korean style military parade on The Leader’s birthday."

Malone wasn't the only one, either.

Podcast host Seth Andrews also chimed in, simply saying, "Is 'back' in the room with us now?"

In fact, there are currently more than 8,000 comments on that particular post, the overwhelming majority of which are ridiculing the Republican lawmaker.

One popular Facebook page, called Fear and Loathing: Closer to the Edge, responded with numerous laughing GIFs.

Other commenters on the senator's post were more direct.

One user, identified as Amy Filed, asked, "Did the king die?"

Podcaster Michelle Lamphere threw in, "Back to where our 401ks were before the last decade of hard work and saving?"

One commenter, Rebecca Loftus Jamieson, referenced the Brady Bunch.

"Marsha, Marsha, Marsha," the user wrote.
