First Lady Melania Trump was roasted by critics on Thursday after making her first public appearance in about a month.

Trump appeared at an event in the Rose Garden, where she announced a landmark strategic alliance with Fox Corporation and IndyCar. It was Trump's first public appearance in some time, and came as questions continued to swirl about her husband, President Donald Trump, and his relationship with his aide, Natalie Harp, whom some have dubbed the president's "security blanket."

"Good afternoon, I heard you missed me," Trump said. "I heard you missed me."

The event sparked mockery from some of the president's critics.

"Interesting timing," the MeidasTouch Network posted on X.

"She hasn’t been seen in a month. Now she conveniently pops up amid a scandal about Trump’s inappropriate relationship with Natalie," Sawyer Hackett, a political strategist, posted on X.

"Yesterday there was a run of stories about how Melania Trump hadn't made a public appearance in a month. Today, here she is. See you in September, ma'am," author Mike Rothschild posted on X.

"Wow...you actually make an appearance," Donald Blais Jr., a former town councilor in Massachusetts, posted on X.
