ABC News reporter Jonathan Karl revealed to Stephen Colbert that during the attack on Jan. 6 at the U.S. Capitol, Vice President Mike Pence had an official White House photographer with him.
According to Karl, photos exist of Pence during the attack, but Pence refused to allow any of the photos to be released to the public. Since the photos are taken at taxpayer expense, they're public records unless they're deemed a security risk.
"I got a hold of the photographer, I actually saw all of the photographs," Karl told Colbert. "This is the Vice President of the United States, and he's like holed up in a basement."
