The Palm Beach town council is threatening to curb the events former President Donald Trump can host at his Mar-a-Lago country club, reported the Palm Beach Daily News on Friday.
“Either get your act together, or we will get it together for you,” said Town Council President Margaret Zeidman. “If in the end we have to restrict, if we can, their events, then we will do so.”
The cause of the tension is traffic management, which has reportedly become a problem for the whole town of Palm Beach. One event hosted on Monday reportedly clogged much of South Ocean Boulevard, and on October 26, another event caused so many traffic issues that the nearby Safeguard Palm Beach South End Safety Forum had to be delayed by half an hour.
"It's the events in this town that are really the problem, because everyone comes at one time," Zeidman said. "And it's such a tiny town we can't accommodate it."

Ever since Trump made Mar-a-Lago his permanent residence, declining to return to living full-time at his New York Trump Tower penthouse after leaving the White House, it has caused issues for the town, which is well known as a playground for the super rich.
Indeed, in the beginning, some residents of Palm Beach were opposed to the former president's living arrangements entirely.
