Elon Musk’s former government lieutenant, Steve Davis, reportedly defied his ouster from the Trump administration’s Department of Government Efficiency by continuing to run meetings, issue directives, and install allies—despite explicit White House orders to stop. According to Politico, Davis “bluffed” his way into acting as though he still had authority, sparking confusion, loyalty purges, and deep discomfort among staffers before the White House stepped in to shut him down.
