An attorney known for representing Trump-loving MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell has announced that he will run for attorney general in the state of Minnesota.

Axios reports that Republican attorney Doug Wardlow is going to once again run for Minnesota AG after he previously lost the election to that office to current Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison in 2018.

In his announcement video, Wardlow played up the kind of "law and order" messaging that former President Donald Trump tried in his unsuccessful re-election bid in 2020.

In particular, Wardlow blamed AG Ellison for not doing enough to stop rioting and crime in Minneapolis, and he vowed to change that if elected.

Axios notes, however, that these issues are all "generally outside the AG's jurisdiction."

As Right Wing Watch reported back in 2018, Wardlow was the favored candidate of Trump-loving evangelicals in his state, and was described as "an Alliance Defending Freedom lawyer who has aggressively opposed legal equality for LGBTQ Americans."

In recent years, Wardlow has worked as general counsel for Lindell, a staunch supporter of former President Donald Trump who is now facing a massive defamation lawsuit for making false claims about Dominion voting machines in the aftermath of the 2020 presidential election.
