A House Republican aligned with President Donald Trump and the MAGA movement made a shocking claim about immigration during an interview on Piers Morgan Uncensored.

Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC), who is leaving Congress in pursuit of South Carolina's governor's office, said during the interview that she wants all immigrants to be removed from the country, including those who are fleeing war-torn countries. The congresswoman's rhetoric illustrates the heated debate surrounding immigration that has emerged following the shooting of two National Guard troops in Washington, D.C., last week, where a 29-year-old immigrant is believed to be the culprit.

During the interview, Piers Morgan asked Mace if she supported deporting people who were brought to the country under special programs for people who aided the U.S. military in foreign wars.

"I support deporting everybody at this point," Mace said, claiming that some immigrants are stealing money from the government to "fund terrorism."

"At this point, I want everybody out!" Mace added.

Morgan interrupted Mace and asked whether she was talking about immigrants who commit crimes, or all immigrants in general. They agreed that immigrants who committed crimes should be deported, but Mace's argument strayed from there.

"What about people who haven't committed crimes who are coming from Afghanistan and Somalia?" Morgan asked.

"We have a history in our country of embracing people who have come from war-torn countries, who are seeking asylum, who are seeking all these things. That is something America believes in," Mace said. "

Mace then said she doesn't want America to turn into Europe, which she claimed has been significantly impacted by immigration.

"If we continue down that path, we are going to be just like them," MAce said.
