Fox News has confirmed that Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and California Gov. Gavin Newsom will participate in a "red state vs. blue state" debate moderated by Fox News host Sean Hannity.
"Hannity first raised the prospect of a debate with Governor Newsom during his exclusive sit-down this past June, following which, Governor DeSantis officially signed on to participate in July. This will mark the first time the two prominent governors will face off in a debate," the network said in an announcement.
In commenting on the announcement, Hannity said, “I’m looking forward to providing viewers with an informative debate about the everyday issues and governing philosophies that impact the lives of every American.”
POLL: Should Trump be allowed to run for office?
Newsom and DeSantis have been publicly feuding and deriding each other's leadership since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic – an rivalry that ramped up when DeSantis was accused of shipping migrants to California.
The debate will take place on November 30th on Hannity’s show at 9 p.m. EST.
