CNN host Sara Sidner mistakenly identified U.S. District Court Judge Aileen Cannon as an "employee" of former President Donald Trump Monday.
The slip came while Sidner was interviewing Nick Ackerman, a former assistant to Watergate prosecutors.
"I do want to lastly ask you because you mentioned this, Judge Aileen Cannon is a Trump employee, or sorry, appointee, excuse me," Sidner said, "and Trump this week had no problem praising her and saying that, you know, she'll do the right thing, and she was obviously overruled, but a lot of judges get overruled on cases, get their cases overturned."
Akerman said Cannon's first test would be when she set the trial date.
"Clearly here, based on all the facts that have been put in front of her, she should go along with the December 11th trial date," he explained.
