The GOP war chest is feeling extra light and panic buttons are being pressed.

"Here's the honest truth: things aren't looking too good for Republicans," according to a GOP donation plea posted on social media. "The Democrats are outraising us."

It adds: "They will be able to buy ads in markets we can't afford, and they will OUTSPEND US. We are gearing up for the election of our lifetime."

Nina Raneses, deputy national press secretary for the Democrats, flagged the ad on her social media.

"We’ve been sending out press releases about this for months and they just…tweeted it out," she wrote.

Rosemary Boeglin, a Democratic communications specialist, also made hay of the GOP's dwindling coffers by quoting their ad's humble tone.

"Things aren't looking too good for Republicans," reads Boeglin's post, signaling that the two political parties are finally able to come to an agreement on something.
