'A busy month for Trump': Two new depositions added to his calendar

Donald Trump will have to sit for two separate depositions in one month, according to reports.

The former president's deposition in a case involving former FBI agents has been scheduled for October 17, while Trump's deposition in a case involving his former lawyer was reportedly scheduled for October 3.

In the first case, there is a concern that the government shutdown could cause disruption of the suit brought by former FBI agents Peter Strzok and Lisa Page. The case was brought against the Justice Department, but they allege that by extension, former president Trump was inappropriately involved in using their personal information to attack them.

"The Justice Department sought to block Trump from being compelled to answer questions about the handling of text messages between FBI attorney Lisa Page and FBI agent Peter Strzok that exposed their opposition to his candidacy and their personal relationship," The Washington Post report stated.

Trump has fought to give any testimony in the case, but on Sept. 1, the court ruled that Trump can be compelled to answer questions.

A filing Thursday cited "discovery status considering probable government shutdown."

In the second case involving Trump's ex-lawyer Michael Cohen, a federal judge has reportedly ordered Trump's deposition to take place Oct. 3. National security attorney Bradley P. Moss commented on that news, writing, "October will be a busy month for Trump."
