'Bigoted and nasty': MAGA rep shredded for claiming colleague 'supports terror'
Trump, Fine

Rep. Randy Fine (R-FL) proclaimed on a Fox News interview this week that his colleague, Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN), one of the first Muslim women ever elected to Congress, secretly wanted and benefited from the shootings of two Israeli embassy staffers in Washington, D.C.

"I stay as far away from her as I can," Fine said. "Frankly, she endorses and supports Muslim terror. I think what happened a couple nights ago for her is probably considered a good thing, not a bad one."

Fine, who was narrowly elected in a special election earlier this year and has also advocated for the use of nuclear weapons in Gaza, caused a blowup on social media as commenters condemned his attack on Omar — who immediately condemned the murders when they happened.

"Randy Fine may now be the most openly bigoted and nasty Republican House member - and that's saying a lot," wrote former MSNBC anchor Mehdi Hasan. "Obviously everything he says on Fox is both false & projection - *he* is the one who used the DC murders to push his bigoted agenda, while Omar actually condemned them." Hasan went on to complain that Democratic leadership wasn't doing enough to speak up against Fine's rhetoric.

"This isn’t tough talk, it’s reckless, bigoted slander," wrote veteran and Wall Street banker Evaristus Odinikaeze. "Smearing Rep. Ilhan Omar as a supporter of terrorism just because she’s Muslim is disgraceful. Meanwhile, Trump just accepted gifts from regimes known to sponsor terrorism. Spare us the hypocrisy, Rep. Fine."

"Imagine if Omar said she was uncomfortable working with Fine because he endorses & supports Jewish terror," wrote left-wing activist Briahna Joy Gray. "It would be closer to the truth: Fine thinks Israel, a self-described Jewish state, should 'nuke' all 2M residents of Gaza. But she’d be run out of congress for saying so."
