Conservative strategist Ana Navarro joined former Illinois Rep. Joe Walsh on CNN to discuss Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) and his latest campaign to convince men they're a victim and he is their savior.
In an Axios interview Sunday, Hawley announced his new campaign for masculinity, in which he intends to tell men that the courage and independence of women is destroying their lives. Hawley also blames video games in part for the downfall of manliness, mocking gamers by citing the early 1980s game Donkey Kong.
"This is what Republicans do now, they're trying to scare the hell out of their voters. …it's going to lead to more violence. It's going to lead to more people getting hurt," said Walsh of Hawley's attacks.
He explained that this is Hawley's continued effort to encourage violence among supporters of Donald Trump. Hawley was notoriously captured in a photo fist-pumping as Trump supporters ravaged the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6. Walsh said that the Missouri Republican is simply copying the Trump strategy.
